Enjoy your wheel-CHAIR

An experimental project on studying the potential market of better designed wheelchair. The wheelchair is in a way similar to a shoe; both help us move our limbs around. Can a disabled consumer enjoy the luxury of using a cool wheelchair the same way I enjoy my pair of Nikes?
Can it function and look like a natural extension of the human body rather a chaos of metal clinging to the body?

Great work. I love how the front-end floats without being supported by casters... this gravity-defying technology should certainly be useful for those who are currently disabled by a lack of appropriate technology, due to socio-economic inequity. Hopefully you can find someone to produce the hovering technology at an affordable price.

Perhaps it could utilize gyroscopes like the Segway.

Like the concept and appreciate the ideas behind it. The difficulties within it lie in the fact that a large number of people who must use a wheelchair full time need to be able to do a sideways transfer. Your design does not allow for that. If there was a way to incorporate a way to remove the side panels it may be a lot more useful for those of us that must use a chair for our primary mobility. Thanks :)
